Artist Known as
BSL Fine Dark Art

BSL is a self-taught street artist from the City of New Orleans. His art navigates us through the humid streets and foggy swamps of life and death. Finding the beauty in the macabre, BSL only sells work that is of the highest quality and personally constructs his works from start to finish, including the production and matting of all prints. BSL has been a full-time street artist on Pirates Alley since 2019. Like the people of New Orleans, he is multi-faceted and has several mediums including.. Photo Art, Oil Painting, pyrography etc.

His art is a rare distinction of multi-faceted mediums that gives the viewer a plethora of stunning and poignant pieces. His 5X grandmother, Gabrielle Saucier, was known to many as “Dame du Marché” the lady of the market. The widow and mother of 4 was known to sell her wares around town and started what we now know as the French Market. BSL sells his art where Gabrielle peddled her wares over 300 years ago. His Tomb series is a homage for Gabrielle and all those buried beneath the streets, in the crypts and mausoleums of New Orleans.

BSL’s paintings are a reflection of mental health and the struggle of suffering with internal pain and trauma.

BSL does not name his pieces.
Forcing the viewer to make their own visceral interpretation of his works.
